UPPSC Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2023
The UPPSC PCS Exam 2023 consists of three stages: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Personality Test. The preliminary exam is an objective type test with two papers of 200 marks each. The mains exam is a descriptive type test with eight papers of 1500 marks in total. The personality test is an interview of 100 marks. The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the mains exam and personality test.
UPPSC Prelims Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2023
The prelims exam is a screening test to shortlist candidates for the mains exam. It has two papers: General Studies-I and General Studies-II (CSAT). Both papers are of two hours duration each and have 150 questions each. The total marks for each paper are 200. The questions are of multiple choice type with four options each. There is negative marking of one-third marks for each wrong answer. The paper-II ( CSAT) is qualifying in nature and the candidates need to score at least 33% marks in it.
